The most sacred thing is a child's innocence;
his trust the most inviolate.

My photo
I'm a hobbyist photographer, a school counselor, a health junkie, and a mom. But above all, I'm just a woman living my truth. My biggest happiness in life is to savour each moment while it happens. That's all. That's everything.

Summer

bright bits of light floating down
to rest on my shoulders
his hair

his eyes alight
mischief condensed
into a shining boy

Summer day

smoke drifting across my view
burned sugar in my hand
fingers teasing the sticky strands
delicious
give me more

Mountain climbing

pushing higher
pursuing the dream
to the "tippy top"

Waterfall

until the golden hour
is upon us
and we rest in the soft light
of summer

  4. I'm in love with your label "I'd like to complain but I really really can't".

Beyond that, awesome post. I like your 5th photo best, the sweeping view (with everything stacked vertically) that puts your boy & his Daddy in perspective. What a beautiful place to play!

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.
