The most sacred thing is a child's innocence;
his trust the most inviolate.

My photo
I'm a hobbyist photographer, a school counselor, a health junkie, and a mom. But above all, I'm just a woman living my truth. My biggest happiness in life is to savour each moment while it happens. That's all. That's everything.

Another Day In the Life

It's funny how tired and exasperated I can be with The Boy and yet, when he's at his grandparents' house and I've nothing to do, how edgy I can get because I'd actually rather he was here. Nothing against the relatives! Happy for some time to get things done or get away or just get some peace. But today, on a blisteringly cold winter's day (-7 Celcius, but it's a damp cold), I'd give anything to be lounging around the yard with him in the summer's sticky heat, or even braving the frigid temperatures attempting to sled down our rather meager hill in the front yard. What's wrong with me?

I felt the need for a change... a new look. And while I got a badly needed haircut (and the boy did too), it didn't satisfy my mid-winter restlessness. Hence, the new blog layout. This might not be the one I stay with... I might continue to pursue a different look... stay tuned.

  1. I know exactly what you mean. I think the main purpose in them going away is so you can miss them.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.
