The most sacred thing is a child's innocence;
his trust the most inviolate.

I'm a hobbyist photographer, a school counselor, a health junkie, and a mom. But above all, I'm just a woman living my truth. My biggest happiness in life is to savour each moment while it happens. That's all. That's everything.

Summer of Tranquility II

I realized today that I live in a cloud. Not a misty ethereal world of nothing, but a steamy, foggy, wind-swirling but ever in-coming mist and fog that pervade and permeate everything and everyone. You see, a big ol' cloud has settled on the South Shore and it refuses to leave. After a day spent going to the zoo in the valley I was reassured that the sky and sun are right where we left them. I was worried about those guys because I haven't seen them in so long.

(You don't call, you don't write... how do we know you're okay?!!)

It was good to see that good weather still exists... somewhere. I only realized the severity of our predicament when on our way back, it looked like I was driving right into a cloud. Nope. Nothing changed.

There's something to be said for the peacefullness and yes, tranquility, that exists in the mists. But it's still creepy. And I'm done with it.

(You hear that, Mother Nature? Enough is enough!)

So, anyway, despite Mother Nature and the recent comatose weather, our summer of tranquility is going off with many hitches, but it's still on-going.  I also got a couple of items checked off the list today: routine/scheduling activities for me and Evan, the supplements, some exercise, and yes, the tranquility.  It's around us if we stop and wait for it.  We're a little impatient for the most part, but we're trying.  Here's a sample of some tranquility we found today.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.
