his trust the most inviolate.

My photo
I'm a hobbyist photographer, a school counselor, a health junkie, and a mom. But above all, I'm just a woman living my truth. My biggest happiness in life is to savour each moment while it happens. That's all. That's everything.

That Sweet Sweet Place

I've seen this farm every time I come back from the city.

It's a sweet spot...
the barn tucked back against the trees,
huddled under its protective embrace...

Twilight beckons

the crop, a winter wheat...
jagged stalks hacked low, pale gold against the vivid green
of the forest that holds it,
protected.

glowing,
sun's rays thrown back into the sky
the hazy half-light of evening
stops time... for just a moment...

(the earth holds her breath)

... I make a wish.

A happy boy and his daddy

Oh daddy!

(You're welcome for keeping him quiet this morning and letting you sleep in.)

Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there. You rock.

  12. There is something really amazing about blades of things reaching for the sky. You've captured it amazingly here...like I would if I knew how to do it.

You understand something really beautiful about the LIGHT.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.
