So sorry about your tree. Our dog did that too our first year with him. We now tie the tree to the ceiling with fishing line.

ReplyDeleteWe screwed our tree base to a couple of 2X12 boards cut to size and our trees have been sturdy ever since. I speak as a fallen tree veteran.
I take it the kitty knocked it down. One year my 3 year old and 1 year old knocked our tree down so many times. When I walked in on Christmas day and it was once again on the floor I took hold of it and hauled it to the curb.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we're not the only one! I'm going to try to tie it up with some twine, and hopefully the cat has learned her lesson! This tree will be outside very soon after Christmas, I'm sure! =)
